BMW Tennis tourney to hold semis and final matches in the same day

Some of the early round losers of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California flew all the way to Florida to take part at the BMW Tennis Championships (an ATP Challenger event).

Frequent rains forced some of the players to play two matches in the same day and that applies once more in the final two rounds of the tourney.

Squaring off in the semifinals are: (1) Tomas Berdych vs. (7) Janko Tipsarevic and (3) Feliciano Lopez vs. Robin Soderling. The winners will then battle it out for the title a few hours later.

Soderling was one of the early losers of the Indian Wells event and he managed to perform well in this tournament, having to go through the qualifying matches because of late entry.

The winner will receive $18,000 plus 110 ATP ranking points.
