It’s Serbia versus USA at Billie Jean King Cup!

The Madison Square Garden in New York is the place to be this March 2, Monday as four of the world’s most popular female tennis players square off for a rare sporting event.

American sisters Serena and Venus Williams will face Serbian duo Jelena Jankovic and Ana Ivanovic at the Billie Jean King Cup, a BNP Paribas-sponsored event that will be shown on HBO live on Monday.

The tickets, ranging from $50 to $1,000, were reportedly sold out and the participating players are raring to showcase their talents in front of thousands of spectators.

“Growing up I’ve always watched tennis at Madison Square Garden. I’ve always wanted to play there.” Serena Williams said on Friday.

“These New Yorkers can see such high quality tennis for one night,” she added.

Williams said that her knee felt fine. A knee injury forced her to withdraw from a semifinal match in Paris. Her older sister Venus is fresh from a back-to-back title victory and is all set to compete.

Serena will face Ana in the one set semifinal round while Venus will face Jelena in the other one. The semifinal round will have no ad scoring. Following a short break, the best of three finals match will take place with regular scoring.
All participating players have held the number one ranking.
