Live Tennis Coverage

Watch Live Tennis Matches at TennisTV!

The ATP World Tour and Sony Ericsson WTA Tour have joined forces to launch the TennisTV site in January this year. The site serves as a live broadband television console for tennis fans from all over.

The site offers live streaming coverage of about 41 top-tier events from both tours. That covers about 700 live matches for this season. Now, that’s something you won’t find from other sites! Masters Series and year-end Championships (Sony Ericsson Championships in Doha and Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London) will also be covered by TennisTV with the exception of the Grand Slam tournaments.

Several packages are in store for fans who want to subscribe for the service. Aside from live streaming coverage of events, exclusive interviews with the world’s top players and behind the scenes footages are also included. Free highlights can also be accessed at TennnisTV.com.

The BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California is currently being featured on the website.

Sony Ericsson WTA Tour President Stacey Allaster said in a statement: “This is an incredibly exciting time for the future of tennis viewing. For the first time we will be able to deliver live broadcast quality matches from both tours’ top level tournaments to online audiences around the world, significantly expanding the reach of our sport and satisfying consumers’ demand.”

Meanwhile, ATP Media CEO Steve Plasto said: “Tennis fans are changing the way they view the sport and we need to ensure we change with them. This is the place to watch live and on demand tennis online which bodes well for what looks to be one of the closest contested season for both tours – 2009 is going to be very special.”
