WTA Tour finishes “Looking for a Hero” second phase ad campaign

wta_tourThe second stage print advertising for the successful “Looking for a Hero?” campaign of the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour has officially wrapped up production this week, which means tennis fans all over the world will get to see additional players in this ambitious marketing drive.

According to the WTA press release, another 17 players are featured in this second ad phase. The first phase of the campaign already featured 40 of the world’s top players. The photo shoot for the first batch took place in New York and Rome. For the second batch, the photo shoot took place before the commencement of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California.

Featured in this photo shoot include Serbian players Jelena Jankovic and Ana Ivanovic, Sania Mirza, Alize Cornet, Anna Chakvetadze and Caroline Wozniacki.
The “Looking for a Hero?” ad campaign depicts the WTA players as modern-day heroes who excel both in and off the court. The campaign is also designed to future tennis stars and tour events.

Marketing drive includes advertisements in television, digital and print media.
