Malaysian tennis fans certainly have something to look forward to by September this year after ATP confirmed this week the staging of the ATP World Tour-level tournament in Kuala Lumpur.
The tournament is officially called Malaysian Open, Kuala Lumpur. This exciting tennis event takes place from September 28 to October 4 – the same week as the Thailand Open in Bangkok.
The official launch of this ATP 250 tournament was made by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak. The venue will be that Putra Stadium located at the Bukit Jalil Sports Complex (a 16,000-seat arena).
