World number 36 Mario Ancic of Croatia has reportedly confirmed that he’ll miss this year’s Wimbledon and the highly anticipated Davis Cup match against the United States.
He informed the Croatian media that he has not entirely recuperated from the mononucleosis which he contracted a couple of years ago.
Ancic could not confirm when he’ll be back saying that he’ll have to “listen” to his body to determine if he’s healthy enough to compete once more.
The former world number 7 was part of this year’s Davis Cup team which defeated Chile 5-0 last March.
