German Tommy Haas is currently enjoying a winning streak on grass, having won the Halle tournament earlier this month and making way to the final four in Wimbledon. He also gave world number two Roger Federer a hard time at Roland Garros, with their quarterfinal match going as far as the fifth set with the Swiss player prevailing and eventually winning the title.
However, everyone knows that Federer excels the best in grass as evidenced by his past five Wimbledon titles and a runner-up finish last year. Defending champion Rafael Nadal has decided to skip the tournament giving the world number two the chance to reclaim the title. In order to make this happen, Federer needs to defeat Haas whom he holds a 9-2 edge in their head-to-head matches.
