The $700,000 LA Tennis Open 2009, an ATP 250 event, takes place this week in Los Angeles, California. Defending champion Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina won’t be taking part this year. Leading the men’s singles field is two-time champion Tommy Haas of Germany.
