World number one Dinara Safina leads the women’s field at this week’s Banka Koper Slovenia Open, a $220,000 WTA International event that’s played on hardcourts, a perfect preparation for the upcoming US Open. Defending champ Sara Errani is the tournament’s fifth seed.
