Even though the announcement of Rafael Nadal‘s withdrawal from this event was a disappointment, the ATP 250 $608,500 PTT Thailand Open still features two of the world’s top ten players, and they’re both from France. Defending champion Jo-Wilfried Tsonga clinched the top seeding in this tournament after Nadal withdrew from the tourney while compatriot Gilles Simon got the number two seeding.
Players not to be missed in this tournament include US Open Series 2009 winner Sam Querrey and two-time Grand Slam winner Marat Safin, who’ll be making his last appearance in Bangkok since this is his last season at the ATP World Tour.
