With Melanie Oudin gone after losing in the quarterfinals, Serena Williams is the only American player left in the singles draw (both men and women) in this year’s US Open. This time, the world number two will meet returning Belgian tennis star Kim Clijsters with the winner progressing to the final. Will this be a close match? The last time the two played each other was in 2003. They’ll meet once more today at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.
