Novak Djokovic wins Australian Open 2011 Men’s singles Title

Serbia’s Novak Djokovic secured his second career Grand Slam title after winning the Australian Open 2011 Men’s Singles title in Melbourne, beating friend Andy Murray of Great Britain 6-4, 6-2, 6-3, in what could be perceived as a somewhat lopsided match.
This marked as the first time the two men have met in a Grand Slam match. They’ve played seven times in the past with Djokovic elading 4-3, and this will change to 5-3 after this match.
Novak Djokovic won his first Grand Slam title at the same tournament three years ago. He defeated defending champion Roger Federer in the semifinals.

We could see the new level of fitness required of top players last year with the Nadal/Verdasco match. The best players had to see that and step it up. I believe Nole did that more than Andy has, as seen by his incredible retrieving and when he took his shirt off and showed his six-pack – if you got it, show it! haha Someone, maybe Nole, is gonna be ripped and add whole-body equivalent muscle to Nadal’s left arm and take the game up another level.
