By virtue of reaching the Australian Open 2011 semifinals, Denmark’s Caroline Wozniacki managed to secure the number one ranking for another week or so. Her upcoming semifinal match against Na Li of China is going to be an interesting one considering that the Chinese tennis star leads their head-to-head encounter 2-1.
Li was a semifinalist in last year’s Australian Open and will be pumped up to improve on that standing by making it to her first career Grand Slam final (and a first for China). Wozniacki is a first-time Australian Open semifinalist.
