The Latin American tennis events have started last week. The second stop is the Brasil Open, an ATP 250 $527,700 claycourt event which takes place at Costa do Sauipe in Brazil from February 7 to 12, 2011. Defending champion Juan Carlos Ferrero returns from injury in this tournament. The former world number one will aim to make a repeat of his successful Latin American swing last year where he won titles here in Buenos Aires. However, he’ll face tough competition such as top seed Nicolas Almagro and hometown bet Thomaz Bellucci.
