The $2,050,000 Dubai Tennis Championships 2011 features eight of the world’s top ten WTA players including world number two Caroline Wozniacki and world number three Vera Zvonareva. Newly-crowned world number one Kim Clijsters and two-time defending champion Venus Williams have decided not to take part this year.
With Clijsters’ absence, Wozniacki has a great chance to reclaim the top ranking after the conclusion of this week-long tournament.
