The final stage of the BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells 2011 men’s singles event features top-ranked Rafael Nadal of Spain versus Australian Open 2011 champion Novak Djokovic. Djokovic, who’s guaranteed the number two ranking in next week’s rankings, is still undefeated this season plus the fact that he had defeated Swiss star Roger Federer in three straight occasions this year. This newfound confidence will certainly be a factor in this upcoming match against Nadal.
Rafael Nadal outplayed Argentina’s Juan Martin Del Potro in the other semifinal. Del Potro is currently on an impressive comeback trail which saw his ranking soar from 484 to 90. This ranking will further rise next week, thanks to his semifinal finish at Indian Wells.
