The singles champions at the Roland Garros 2011 will each get $1.7 million, up from $1.4 million the previous year.
This announcement surfaced the day after the All England Club announced the prize money breakdown at the Wimbledon 2011.
The Roland Garros 2011 organizers said that the total prize money at the French Open 2011 will reach $25 million, up from about $20.7 million last year.
The French Open 2011 takes place at the Roland Garros stadium from May 22 to June 5, 2011.
