Sony Ericsson Open 2011 Men’s Singles: Novak Djokovic wins Miami Masters crown

Tennis fans who trooped to watch the Sony Ericsson Open 2011 Men’s Singles Final match between world number one Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic were not disappointed as the world’s top two players battled hard for the Miami Masters 2011 title in three tight sets. In the end it was Djokovic who prevailed  4-6,6-3,7-6.

Djokovic is undoubtedly the hottest player this season as he remained undefeated since the start of the year. Since then, he had won the Australian open 2011 title, the Dubai Tennis Championships and the Indian Wells 2011 tournament two weeks ago where he also faced Nadal in the title match.

The Serbian star will have a great chance to clinch the number one ranking this claycourt season as he has lesser points to defend than current number one Rafael Nadal.
