The 2011 Roland Garros Men’s Singles event promises to be one of the most intriguing in the tournament’s 110-year history. World number two Novak Djokovic is currently enjoying a 37-0 win streak this season which saw him winning the Australian Open title, four ATP Masters 1000 titles, one ATP 500 event and one ATP 250 tournament. This makes him the favorite to win his first career French Open title since he had beaten the “King of Clay” Rafael Nadal twice on the latter’s favorite surface – all in the final (Madrid Masters and Rome Masters). However, it is common knowledge that Nadal, a five-time Roland Garros champion, won’t easily give up the title he reclaimed last year. Plus, world number three Roger Federer is not to be understimated since he’s a 2009 French Open winner.

It won’t be a surprise if someone unexpected will triumph this year.
