The WTA Mutua Madrid Open 2011 Semifinal match between Victoria Azarenka vs Julia Goerges will be the first to take place at the Manolo Santana court today, May 7, 2011. Goerges powered her way into the final four after beating Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in straight sets, prior to this match she scored her second consecutive win against world number one Caroline Wozniacki which makes her a dangerous player on clay. Meanwhile, Azarenka is aiming for historic win in the semifinals. She will become world number four in women’s rankings next week if she makes it in the Mutua Madrid Open final (which will make her the highest-ranked Belarusian player in WTA history).
