The Roland Garros 2011 Men’s Singles Final match between Rafael Nadal vs Roger Federer is expected to attract hundreds of millions of viewers around the globe. Basically, the popularity of these two players has transcended beyond the realms of tennis. These two global sports icons have managed to revive the long-running rivalry by meeting in the Paris final for the fourth time. It will be their fifth meeting at the Roland Garros with Nadal winning their past four matches – at the 2005 semifinals, and in the Roland Garros final for the next three years after that – 2006 to 2008. In Federer’s victory in 2009, Nadal was not his opponent but Robin Soderling, the one who handed Nadal his lone defeat in this claycourt Slam.
“I’m happy I never got sort of a letdown just because he has beaten me here and just that I never stopped believing,” said Federer.
