For the first time in her career, Italy’s Roberta Vinci captured a grasscourt title after beating former top-five player Jelena Dokic of Australia at the final of the UNICEF Open in Netherlands.
This marked Vinci’s fifth career title on tour but the first one on grass.
“Now I’m on my way to Wimbledon,” Vinci said.
“I’m a little tired after this week, but that’s OK, you know, I won,” she added.
