The 2011 Wimbledon tournament takes place at the All England Club from June 13 to July 3, 2011. The Wimbledon qualifying draw matches will start on June 13 while the main draw matches will begin on June 20. The 2011 Wimbledon tennis tournament is the third Grand Slam event of the season. Expected to get the top seeding from the men’s draw is defending champion Rafael Nadal. For the Wimbledon ladies’ singles event, the seedings will be more interesting with defending champion Serena Williams expected to get a higher seeding from her current ranking of 25. Her ranking dropped due to inactivity for nearly a year. Five-time champion Venus Williams is expected to be awarded with a higher seeding as well. Her ranking is currently in the thirties.
