The UNICEF Open 2011 tournament takes place in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands from June 12 to 19, 2011, a perfect warm-up for the Wimbledon 2011 which takes pace on June 20. The UNICEF Open 2011, a dual-gender event, features some of the world’s best ATP and WTA players. The total cash prize for the women’s event is $220,000 while for the men’s event, the total cash purse is € 450,000.
The champions last year were Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine for the men’s event who beat Janko Tipsarevic in the title match and Justine Henin who outlasted Andrea Petkovic of Germany in the women’s event.
