“It’s going to be pretty nuts. I couldn’t believe it. I joked with him earlier in the week, last week, and said, ‘Watch us play each other. And he said, ‘No, there’s no way. That’s not even funny,” Isner revealed.
The John Isner vs Nicolas Mahut match at last year’s Wimbledon took eleven hours and five minutes and was stretched for more than three days due to much-needed postponement. The fifth set was the longest played with Isner emerging as the victor with a 70-68 fifth set score.
The Isner vs Mahut First Round Wimbledon 2011 match is scheduled for Tuesday, June 21, 2011.
