Top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki crashed out of the Wimbledon 2011 Fourth Round after she was defeated by Slovakia’s Dominika Cibulkova in three sets 1-6, 7-6, 7-5. This will mean that the world number one is still without a Grand Slam title.
Wozniacki has never progressed beyond the fourth round of Wimbledon. After dominating the first set, it seemed that the Danish star was headed to a straight sets victory. However, Cibulkova has other ideas.
The Slovak player has reached the semifinals of the French Open in the past which means that she’s no longer new in the latter stages of a tournament. Her next opponent is 2004 Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova.
