Former top-ranked player Juan Carlos Ferrero of Spain reminded everyone that he still has what it takes to win titles especially on claycourts after winning an all-Spanish final at the Mercedes Cup 2011 in Stuttgart, Germany on Sunday.
The final against Pablo Andujar was delayed by more than three hours due to rain but once the match started, it was Ferrero who dominated the two-set encounter. The final score 6-4, 6-0.
The 31-year old tennis star won his 16th career title. This is just his 3rd tournament of the 2011 season after being out for two months due to knee and wrist injuries.
