2011 US Open Series: Nadal prepares for summer hardcourt events

World number two Rafael Nadal of Spain is certainly bent to reclaim the world’s top ranking and he’s currently getting ready for the summer hardcourt season events in the US leading to the last Grand Slam event of the year – the 2011 US Open in New York where he is the defending champion.

Nadal posted in his official Facebook page that he’s been training hard for the hardcourt tournaments that are part of the US Open Series such as the Rogers Cup and Cincinnati Masters.
The 25-year old lost the top ranking at Wimbledon when he was beaten by Novak Djokovic in the final. The 2011 French Open champion has a lot of points to defend and needs to post impressive results to have a great chance of reclaiming the top ranking by the end of the season.
