US Open officials consider permanent Monday conclusion of tournament

For the past four years, the US Open Grand Slam tournament ended on a Monday with the men’s final. This prompted the tournament officials to consider making this a permanent schedule starting next year. If this is implemented, the US Open will become the first Grand Slam tennis tournament to permanently conclude on a Monday (or on the fifteenth day of competition).
