2011 Paris Masters: Rafael Nadal withdraws to focus on ATP World Tour Finals

World number two Rafael Nadal has pulled out of the 2011 Paris Masters which is slated to begin on Monday, November 7. The 10-time Grand Slam champion stated that he’s focusing on the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals and the 2011 Davis Cup Final against Argentina.

Nadal stated in his official Facebook page that pulling out of the 2011 Paris Masters was necessary because he needs “to prepare well for the end of this season and also for 2012.”

Nadal has been out of action since losing at the Shanghai Masters second round nearly a month ago.

Nadal already secured one of the eight slots for the ATP World Tour Finals which is scheduled from November 20 to 27 in London.
