India’s only ATP World Tour event, the Aircel Chennai Open, takes place from January 2 to 8, 2012. This is the first three tournaments which will be held during the opening week of the 2012 tennis season. The 2012 Aircel Chennai Open has a total financial commitment of $450,000. Last year’s winner Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland will be back this year as the tournament third seed.
