The 2012 ASB Classic, a WTA-only International event, takes place from January 3 to 8 in Auckland, New Zealand. This warm-up event to the Australian Open will be staged at the ASB Tennis Center with some of the world’s best female tennis players participating.
Last year, Greta Arn earned her first WTA title in four years after beating top caliber players such as Maria Sharapova and Yanina Wickmayer in the earlier rounds. This year, 19 of the top 30 players are expected to participate at the 2012 ASB Classic.
