The Ladies’ Singles Draw at the 2012 Wimbledon Championships will be revealed on June 22, 2012, Friday with top-ranked Maria Sharapova of Russia expected to get the top seeding, followed by Victoria Azarenka of Belarus. There’s still uncertainty at this point as to whether Agnieszka Radwanska, currently world number three, will get the third seeding since the fourth-ranked player of the moment – Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic is the defending champion of the Wimbledon Ladies’ Singles tournament. It is a known fact that Wimbledon organizers follow a different seeding process wherein they account the past achievements of a player in grasscourt tournaments to determine their seeding. It is a possibility that current sixth-ranked Serena Williams might get a higher seeding at this tournament due to her winning the title four times in the past. Her older sister, Venus, might snag the 32nd seeding – higher than her current ranking in the 40s should the organizers recognize that she won the tournament five times in the past.
