ESPY Awards: Novak Djokovic gets three nominations

World number one Novak Djokovic has been nominated in three key categories at the upcoming 20th annual ESPY Awards, which will take place at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California on July 11, 2012.

The Serbian star was recognized for his dominating run last season and was nominated for Best Male Athlete. He won three Grand slam titles last season plus five ATP Masters 1000 titles to secure the world number one ranking after several years of staying in number three.

Other categories where Djokovic was nominated is in the Best Male Tennis Player category and Best International Athlete category.

Other tennis players nominated are Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Federer is a six-time winner of the ESPYs from 2005-2010 before Nadal finally earned his first win last year.
