Novak Djokovic beats Harrison under closed roof in Centre Court to reach 3rd round

Defending Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic won his second round match against American Ryan Harrison 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 under the closed roof in the Centre Court at the All England Club on Wednesday. The match ended at almost 10 in the evening.

“We went the distance,” Djokovic said.

“I’m honored to be in a position to play on the most recognized Centre Court worldwide in our sport. Every time I step on Centre Court, you can feel the different energy from any other tournament,” he added.

Djokovic is aiming for his sixth career Grand Slam singles title at this grasscourt Slam tournament. Earlier this month, he lost the final at the Roland Garros tournament against Rafael Nadal.
