Cilic squeaks past Querrey in thrilling five-set, five-and-a-half-hour match

Marin Cilic of Croatia outlasted the spirited challenge of American Sam Querrey in the third round of the 2012 Wimbledon Championships. Cilic prevailed after five hours and thirty minutes with the score of 7-6 (6), 6-4, 6-7 (2), 6-7 (3), 17-15. This is the second-longest singles match in Wimbledon history. The record is 11 hours, 5 minutes set by John Isner and Nicolas Mahut in 2010 with Isner winning the fifth set at 70-68.

Cilic has reached the fourth round of the Wimbledon Championships for the first time.
