Andy Murray has an 8-7 head-to-head series lead over Murray but it’s been Federer who’s winning their past encounters, including the 2012 Dubai final. Federer is a six-time champion at Wimbledon and will clinch the number one ranking with the victory on Sunday while Murray has all the pressures and expectations as he’s the first homegrown tennis talent in 74 years to reach the Wimbledon final.
Federer will be the favorite to win the 2012 Wimbledon Men’s Singles title although it could not be discounted that Murray will have the home crowd support. However, Federer is very respected at the All England Club that this might not be a big factor.
