Novak Djokovic wins US Open 2012 Series

A strong showing at the North American hardcourt season has rewarded Novak Djokovic the top spot at the 2012 Emirates Airline US Open Series rankings which means that he could earn as much as $2.9 million in cash prize money at the conclusion of the US Open 2012 Grand Slam tournament which begins August 27.

As the winner of the US Open Series, Djokovic could earn an additional $1 million if he wins the US Open Men’s Singles tournament. He’s had a lot of success in this event so far, having been a finalist three times and finally winning the big prize last year – defeating 2010 champion Rafael Nadal in the process.
