American Idol winner Jordin Sparks will headline the opening-night program of the US Open 2012 tennis tournament in Flushing Meadows, New York. This event will take place on August 27.
According to reports, Sparks will perform one of the songs in her upcoming movie, Sparkle, which also stars Whitney Houston. Houston died earlier this year and Sparkle is her final movie performance. Sparks will also sing the national anthem.
