Novak Djokovic does the Gangnam Style dance

It’s just a matter of time that the Gangnam Style dance fever invades the world of tennis and this happened on Sunday at the conclusion of the 2012 China Open. Novak Djokovic, who just won the title for the third time after beating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France, did the popular horse-riding dance from the tune of the South Korean pop hit “Gangnan Style,” after a bit of prodding from the tournament host.

The world number two looked reluctant at first but went on to fulfill his promise made earlier in the week to do the dance. His dance, which lasted less than a minute, elicited rounds of applause from the crowd of about 10,000.

Here’s the YouTube video of Novak Djokovic doing the Gangnam Style dance.

“So I had to hold my promise and it was fun. I think it was obvious that I was the worst dancer there out of the small group, but it still was quite a lot of fun,” Djokovic said.
