World number two Roger Federer will meet Australian bet Bernard Tomic in the third round of competitions at the Australian Open 2013. The Swiss star defeated Russia’s Nikolay Davydenko 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.
Davydenko, a former world number three, failed to capitalize on his opportunities and Federer has unleashed his trademark strategies to outclass the Russian.
As for his upcoming match against Tomic, Federer said: “Right now I’m still at the beginning of the season. He’s obviously played a bit more. So he knows more so where he is with his game. So it’s an interesting matchup right now I think for both of us.”
