Japan’s top-ranked player Kei Nishikori won his third ATP World Tour title on Sunday after beating Feliciano Lopez of Spain in the final of the US National Indoor Tennis Championships in Memphis.
“I’m very happy with the way I played today,” said Nishikori. “To win this title is an amazing feeling. I tried to concentrate on all the important points. I served really well this week. I was practising a lot and it’s getting better. Hopefully I can win a couple more titles. It’s been a good start to the year.”
The world number 22 did not lose a set in all of his matches at the tournament. This is his second ATP 500-level title (the first in Tokyo in October last year).
