An official report posted at the ATP World Tour website revealed that Swiss superstar Roger Federer will participate after all in his home tournament – the Swiss Indoors Basel 2013 tournament. Federer is a five-time champion in this event and boasts a 47-8 event record. He’s reached the final nine times including last year where he lost to Juan Martin Del Potro in three tight sets 6-4, 6-7(5), 7-6(3).
Earlier this year, Federer has outlined the tournaments that he will be participating this year and the Swiss Indoors tournament was not included, rousing rumors that there may be conflicts involved with the tournament organizers. However, this development confirms that everything is now all well between both parties.
