Roger Federer sees himself competing at age 35, Rio Olympic Games

Defending Madrid Masters champion Roger Federer stressed his intent to still compete at the ATP World Tour until he reaches the age of 35. By then, he will have the eligibility to compete on his fifth Olympic Games which takes place in Rio de Janeiro.

“I made the breakthrough early, but for years I’ve always looked at the long term,” Federer said. “I think that helps me to play for a long period of time, hopefully. It was always my goal to play until 35 or more. For that reason, I still feel I have many more years to go.”
