Former top-ten Mardy Fish to likely skip Wimbledon

Former top-ten player Mardy Fish of United States will most likely withdraw from the upcoming Wimbledon Championships.

Fish, who reached as high as number seven in the world rankings, has been dealing with anxiety and heart-related issues for more than a year. He reportedly expressed interested to take part at the BB&T Atlanta Open which will take place from July 20 to 28. This hardcourt event is part of the US Open Series.

Fish already pulled out of this week’s Aegon Championships at the Queen’s Club citing virus as the culprit.
