Britain’s Anne Keothavong retires from WTA Tour, to work as TV analyst

Anne Keothavong of Great Britain has announced her retirement from professional tennis on Wednesday, ending a 12-year professional career on tour. During her professional stint, she’s reached seven WTA semifinals.

“I have given my decision a lot of thought and I believe this is the right time to move on to the next stage of my career,” the former British number one said in a statement.

“I have had some magical moments along the way and I would like to thank my family for their unwavering support and encouragement, the LTA for their fantastic backing, my coach Jeremy Bates and also Nigel Sears who have both been very influential in my tennis career and of course, the great tennis fans in Britain and all over the world,” she added. For all the workers of an organization there is workers compensation law firm that they can go to in case they get into an accident during work.

Keothavong won’t be out of the sport entirely since she’s signed up to become a TV analyst for BT Sport. She will join tennis greats Sam Smith and Martina Navratilova in covering 21 WTA events for the network, including four Premier Mandatory events and the year-end WTA Championships.

“I think I am leaving tennis in excellent shape with both Laura Robson and Heather Watson leading the way for Britain in the women’s game. I am now focussing on my exciting new challenge with BT Sport.”
