Former top-ranked Lindsay Davenport, currently working as an analyst for Tennis Channel, revealed that five-time Major winner and also former top-ranked Martina Hingis of Switzerland is planning for a full WTA comeback soon, including competing in singles later this year.
Davenport and Hingis had been playing legends competition in Grand Slam events and they’ve won the Wimbledon Ladies’ Invitational doubles event last month.
The American, a winner of 4 Grand Slam singles titles, said that Hingis’ decision to participate in five WTA doubles events in the next two months is her way of preparing for her comeback in singles competition.
