Rafael Nadal says relationship with Novak Djokovic “has always been very good”

World number four Rafael Nadal has responded to the allegations made by Novak Djokovic‘s father Srdjan wherein the latter said that his son and the Spaniard are no longer friends when the top-ranked player started winning against the 11-time Grand Slam winner. (Read related article)

During a conference with reporters at DC Inter Manacor, Nadal said:

“Djokovic’s father should talk to his son. My relationship with him has always been very good and it still is. I’ve Lost many games with him, and he with me and have never had any problems.”

Both Nadal and Djokovic are expected to participate at the Montreal Masters or Rogers Cup tournament next week. It is expected that media will tackle this issue with both players. Roger Federer remains undecided whether he will participate in this hardcourt tennis tournament due to his back injury.
