Andy Murray, Milos Raonic, Tomas Berdych lead Thailand Open 2013 field

The 2013 Thailand Open features four of the world’s top 11 players, an impressive line-up that will lead a very competitive field.

World number Andy Murray, who won his second Grand Slam title at Wimbledon last month, is joined by number six Tomas Berdych of Czech Republic, number ten Milos Raonic of Canada and defending champion and world number 11 Richard Gasquet.

“I’m really looking forward to returning to the Thailand Open this year,” Murray said. “I’ve enjoyed some really good results in Bangkok in the past, including my first ever final back in 2005 and winning the event in 2011.”

Three former champions are in the field. Aside from Murray and Gasquet, Frenchman Gilles Simon will be joining the event.

“Last year was my first visit to Thailand and it was fantastic. Before the tournament I spent a week training on Koh Samui and the island was so beautiful and the people so friendly. The Thailand Open was well-organised and a lot of fun,” said Milos Raonic, who just made it to the world’s top ten for the first time this week after his run to the Montreal Masters final last weekend.
