Argentine David Nalbandian starts training for the first time since surgeries

Former world number three David Nalbandian is raring to compete once more at the pro-circuit tour.

Nalbandian was seen hitting the practice courts for the first time since undergoing surgeries for his shoulder and hip earlier this year.

The Argentine 31-year old is aiming for a grand return at the Davis Cup semifinal batch between his country and the Czech Republic in September.

“I felt very good, beyond that I had some sensations in the shoulder area when impacting the ball. It is very positive re-grip the racket to continue the process. The idea now is to move forward slowly with the training field and see along with my team how we evolve,” Nalbandian was quoted as saying.

Nalbandian has a 6-5 record this 2013 season and his ranking plummeted to 192 due to inactivity. His last match was at the Miami Masters last March.
